Today is the last day of 2009. I've been seeing a lot of people I know saying that they're glad 2009 is over and ready for a new year. I don't know if I agree. To be completely honest, 2009 has been one of the more low-key uneventful years I've had. When I looked back to the end of 2008, nothing has really changed in my life. I don't consider that a bad thing. I have my beautiful family by my side once again. I still have my awesome job (for now, but every day I count my blessings for it). Joel still has a job. We have a home to live in, cars to drive, food to eat, and things that make us smile every day. 2009 had no untoward events that would make me wish it gone. Tonight I will simply toast the end of a thankfully uneventful year, and the start of what will hopefully be another uneventful year.
Hopefully next year, when I toast 2010 I will be thankful for these things as well.
Tonight we will be celebrating with the Snelsons' who are right at the top of the list of favorite people in the world.
Whatever you do, wherever you are....I hope you have a fun, happy, and most of all...SAFE new year.

Nice post Karla! I pray you are blessed beyond belief in 2010!!!! Love you! mom
Have to agree.08 stunk and we know why.09 wasn't awful.Well we lost Missy but...the year wasn't horrible. We have our health and nothing happened that will adversely affect anything. We should count our blessings before we ask for more and a year like 09 is blesssing enough.May your 2010 be among the best you ever have.Especially if it's a good one.=)
