"bits" and pieces

Reactions:
I feel the urge to blog, but have nothing of importance or interest to say so you'll get it in spurts. Lucky you.

It has been exactly two years since I started my job. I am still very grateful to have it, no matter what you may hear me say about it :) I have a job interview with another company next week. It's an almost identical company to the one I work for now. The only real reason I'm considering the switch is because my company is being very strict on the hours. I really wanted to switch some of my hours around and they refuse, so if this new company can give me the hours I need and still pay me good, I'm in.

Joel is out of work AGAIN. The sucky part is that he can't even file unemployment because since he went back to work for a few weeks he stopped filing it, so he'd have to have another waiting week and he's only looking at being out of work for a week or two at the most, so it wouldn't even be worth it. He's going even more crazy than usual. As you can imagine, that is pretty crazy. Money is even more tighter than ever this time around because we don't have unemployment and we don't have any kind of savings to fall back on. Top ramen for dinner!! It looks like he'll probably be going back next week sometime. Hopefully.

As you saw from my last post, Maddie is currently hung up on some swear words. Especially the word "bitch." I know for a fact she did not hear it in my house. I may slip out a swear word or 10 now and again (it's all Mario Kart's fault), but I can promise you that Bitch is not one of them. I blame school. Yes, I'm sticking with it. Don't judge. She asked me last night if I could please tell her what all the bad words mean. She can't let it go.

The Tooth Fairy comes out this weekend. We are totally going to see it. We have a lot of movie tickets and movie gift cards saved up, so we will probably use them.

Today is Thursday, which as you recall is Grandpa-day. Mom gets a couple of hours alone tonight (Joel doesn't count, he can fill his own water glass and get his own snacks). So Mario Kart and I have a swearing competition scheduled. I may even use the word bitch. Maddie won't be here to question the meaning of it. Joel and I can't race together anymore. He's a sore loser and I'm a poor winner. Or so he says anyway. I don't really think it's possible to be a poor winner if the other isn't already a sore loser. As you can tell, I win a lot and he loses a lot. I can't help it if I'm awesome.
