I guess I am doing a week in review, because apparently I can't seem to find the time to post anymore. I mean to, sometimes, I guess. I guess I just find my life boring and I figure putting it on the internet will only make it more so.
I finally had my eye appointment last week. The bad news is that my eyes have gotten worse. The good news is that I am not completely blind. Yet. I have a few years until I am given a prescription for a white cane. Forget the seeing eye dog though, I don't trust those creatures. It would probably walk me out into the middle of the road.
The kids have a 4-day weekend thanks to MLK, and to make my life even more special, Joel's off all week and this is NOT thanks to MLK. I know what you're thinking...I thought the whole "Joel out of work thing was over?" Well, it was...until this week. Fortunately, it will only be a week, but a week is a long time. Hey guess what? I had a dream I was alone for 5 minutes. Then I woke up.
Friday for Movie Night we watched American Idol. Maddie, although she wants to be, is not interested in this at all so she watched Strawberry Shortcake on the computer.
Yesterday we dropped the kids off with Joel's parents for a few hours. They love spending time with the kids, but hate to be intrusive and ask so we have to ask them to "babysit" so that they will get to spend time with them. So Joel and I had a few spare hours to have a staring contest until it was time to pick them up again.
Today the kids went to spend the day with my dad and Cheryll and spend the night since there is no school tomorrow. So, I get to work 8 hours in peace and quiet today. Minus the football yelling going on. It's a good thing he's yelling at them, or else they'd never know what to do. We do have a microphone in our TV, ya know.
