Lessons learned

You can't change people. They have to want to change. Unless you know hypnotism. Then you can change them. For awhile anyway.

Sometimes, people do change, even when you don't want them to.

No matter how bad it seems at the moment. It won't last forever. It may seem like it, but it won't.

A smile at a stranger just might make their day. Not mine though, let's just not make eye contact.

A good cry does the soul good. Not the contact lenses though.

People are more apt to like you if you speak highly of others rather than poorly. Good thing I don't care if people like me.

There is no such thing as a perfect fitting bra.

I own more bras than shoes because it usually takes me a few days of wearing a bra before I realize it sucks.

A hug is sometimes necessary, even if I don't want to. I usually don't.

Hugs from my kids are the best in the world. Maddie's are given with passion and love. You can actually feel the love when she hugs you. Dylan's are rare, but when they happen....they are magical.

Sometimes those you think you can rely upon will let you down. Sometimes those who you think will let you down will surprise you.

I can tell when people give me false compliments. It's usually the same person over and over again.

Two children are not the same.

Sometimes when I feel down or cranky. I turn on some music and sing at the top of my lungs and I feel a million times better.

My kids are good for the ego. They think I am the smartest, most beautiful woman in the world. Don't think I don't cherish these times because I do. Someday they will see me differently and I will be okay with that. They will still love me anyway.

Just because people argue, doesn't mean they don't love each other. Just because they don't argue, doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that no matter how much we may care about someone, we cannot expect them to care about us.

When people talk behind my back, it doesn't bother me too much. Sometimes though, it does hurt. It hurts a lot. Especially when it is someone who you've never had anything but respect for.

I've learned that what doesn't kill me, really does make me stronger.

Hope for the best, but expect the worst. You won't be let down :)
